Shopping with my mum: what I bought

Hello lovelies!

On Saturday me and my mum went shopping for the day and decided to buy a few things, that I thought I would show you guys, seem as though I haven't written a blog post in a while!
So lets get started!

The first place that we went to was Primark where I just wanted to buy a couple of t-shirts, nothing too big! Just some things to take on holiday with me.

The first t-shirt that I picked up was this over sized grey Rolling Stones t-shirt:

I thought this would look really nice with some black leggings and a pair of converse or tucked into a pair of skinny jeans which would just create a really casual look for walking around on holiday when it's a bit cooler or raining.

The next t-shirt that I picked up was this coral orange grunge t-shirt which I had seen the duplicate of in Topshop so this was an absolute bargain!

I thought that this would look really nice and summery with jeans or shorts and would just add a bit of colour to my outfits.

Also in the spur of the moment I picked up this pink bandanna, which I had seen stilababe09 wearing a few times, which i thought might look really cute with a messy bun, and for £1.50 it was an absolute bargain!

And finally, I needed some pyjamas and i have seen over the past few weeks Primark have had some really nice ones in, so i picked up these really cute dog pyjamas:

After leaving Primark we stopped off at Topshop and I ended up trying on a pair of the acid wash Leigh jeans, and when I tried them on they were so comfortable and fitted me perfectly I just had to get them:

After going to Topshop we went into boots and I ended up picking up quite a lot of nail varnish!
Essie - Fiji
Collection - base coat
Rimmel - Sweet As Sugar

Then Neutrigina had a 2 for £5 deal on in Boots when usually one product is £4.99! I have been wanting to try out the pink grapefruit face wash for agesssss so I picked up that and the same product line but the moisturizer, they smell amazing!

Also I really wanted to try out a salt spray so I picked up this Got 2 Be Salt Spray which has been highly recommended; plus it was under £5.

I already love this product and I have only used it twice! It is a definite must have!

Thankyou for reading,

ootd shopping in Leeds!

The collared top that I am wearing is from primark so was less than £10.
My shorts were from Miss Selfridge and cost me £32.
The shoes I wore are just burgundy converse and cost me £45.
All together the look was quite summery yet comfortable to go shopping in!

May Favourites!

Hello lovelies!

Since we're nearing the end of May I thought that I would do a post on all of the things that I have been loving in the month of May!

I have quite a variety of things, and i'll also write a little overview of the product! So lets get started!

My first favourite is the Maybelline Baby Lips in the shade 'Pink Punch'. It is a lovely pink lip balm, but unlike an ordinary lip balm it leaves a lovely colour on the lips and moisturises them at the same time!

Unfortunately you can't actually buy Baby Lips in the UK, so i got mine shipped from America off eBay and i'm glad I did because every girl needs a Baby Lips! I mainly use this prouduct at school as i can just apply it between each class and it's not as vibrant as a lipstick so it gives me a lovely natural look.

My second favourite is the TRESemme heat defence styling spray. I use this when I have just got out of the shower and I spray it all over my damp hair and then brush it out.

I use this product as I use quite a lot of heat on my hair (blow drying and straightening) and I feel after I have used this my hair feels more healthy and shiny and not as dead. I definitely recommend this product as it can protect your hair from up to 230 degree heat and I can feel the difference straight away! Although this isn't a high end hair product I think it works just as well!

My next favourite is the Bourjois So Laque nail varnish in the shade 06 - So Bleu. I only bought this the other day but I have already painted my nails with this twice already! The colour is so lovely and it is really glossy which I love!

It also says that it lasts up to 10 days, and so far this hasn't chipped yet! I don't understand why not a lot of people talk about these nail varnishes because they are absolutely great and I will definitely be re-purchasing some more of these!

My favourite perfume which I have been loving this month is Benefits: Garden Of Good & Eva. I got a set of mini bottles of the benefit perfumes and this month I have been loving this one! I like the fact that the bottles are very small so i can just drop it in my bag and it's not as heavy as carrying round a massive bottle.

The smell of this is really floraliy and fruity which is perfect for summer! Also the scent lasts quite a long time and I only have to reapply it around 3 times a day which is great.

My favourite for my hair this month is the pink bow that I bought recently from Claires Accesories! I just think that it looks really cute in your hair for summer and bows are really in fashion to wear at the moment.

So that concludes the products that have been my favourites for the month of may! I'll leave the prices and links below! Don't forget to follow and comment, it will make my day :)

Haul: Spring into Summer!

Hello Lovelies!

So today I did a massive haul with my friend Becky (http://lillyloops.blogspot.co.uk/) today and I thought i would show you all everything that I bought! So first of all i'll just show you a few pictures that I took throughout the day:

Outfit Of The Day! Hellooooo sunshine!

So the first place that we went was Primark to get some pretty basic things for taking on holiday but I ended up finding a lot of things that i liked in there!

£10.00

Top -£4, Bottoms £4

So from Primark I ended up buying a really cute sheer collared top with dragon flies on which i thought would be perfect for the summer because it's very thin and light.
I also bought 2 dresses: a navy blue one with lace detailing on the collar and a pink tie dye body con dress which i thought i could maybe wear in the evening on holiday with some cute pumps! And finally I bought a really cute Aztec print bikini set with a frilly top which looked really nice on! I know this picture only shows the top half but i couldn't really put on the bottoms on my mannequin.

£4.00
I also ended up going into Claires and buying this really cute pink lace hair bow which i thought would look really pretty in the summer and I've wanted one for AGEEEEES and this one is perfect and so so so so girly! I love it!

£35
All day I had been searching for the most perfect pair of shorts but then I cam across these high wasted acid wash shorts with a really nice pink lace floral design on the front in Topshop. And when I tried them on they just looked really pretty and I thought that they would look lovely in the summer time with a nice crop top.

Crop Top - £10, Dungarees £35
Also from Topshop I fell in love with these dungarees as soon as I saw them and I had to have them! I also picked up a cute crop top just to go underneath and it looked so girly and cute for the summer! Also the pink bow that I also picked up would go with this perfectly!
Bourjois Nail Varnish - 2 for £8
Rimmel London Eye Brow Pencil £4.50

So from Boots I picked up to really lovely colours from Bourjois! I've never tried the Bourjois range before but all of Boots had gotten rid of Barry M because of  a fault with the British standards so I thought I would try these! I've also been wanting to experiment with an eye brow filler, so before buying a product such as Benefit - Browzings I thought I would try a cheaper version! I also bought the Real Techniques core face collection brushes because I have been wanting this set for ages and I'm in love with them!

We also went to an American Candy shop that we found in Leeds and honestly it was like heaven in there! I couldn't decide what to get but in the end I ended up buying some of the more novelty candys and that amazing gum that people have been talking about! I'm so excited to try everything!

Blush - £17.50, Lipstick - £14

And finally we went into MAC which was a beautiful mistake because I ended up spending so much money! I originally only went in for a Lipstick but came out with a Blush as well and I am so glad I did because I'm in Love! The lady that served us was so lovely and helped me find a pink lipstick that suited me perfectly which was Nicki Minaj's collection in - Viva Glam Nicki. I think I was also watching a You Tube video (it may of been @velvetgh0st on instagram or Tanya Burr I can't quite remember) and she recommended MACs - Well Dressed so I thought I would try it out and its absolutely beautiful! Its a light baby pink blush with hints of lilac bits in and it just looks really natural but you can build it up to be more powerful! If you are looking for amazing quality then MAC is definitely the best place to go; and the customer service is perfect!

I also bought a few things for my penpal which I can't post incase she is reading this haha! Anyway, hope you enjoyed my haul post! If you have any questions then don't be afraid to comment!

Bye for now Lovelies!

Review: Sinful Nailpolish

Hello lovelies!
So today I thought i would do a review on the brand of nail polish 'Sinful Colours' I bought these a few months ago when they had just came to the UK. The colours i bought were:

Left to right: Mint Apple, Queen Of Beauty, Soul Mate and Cinderella.

I picked up these colours purely because of how cute they were and they are perfect for spring time! The first one I tried out was the colour 'Cinderella' and i was not impressed at all :(. The colour is very sheer and not pigmented at all.
After putting it over the top of another blue i found that it worked as a very nice glittery blue over coat. Out of all of the colours i bought i was most excited about this one, but after wearing it I was very disappointed.

The next colour I tried out was Mint Apple and I thought that the colour of this was very pretty! Although the texture of it on my nails wasn't very shiny how a nail polish should look, it was a bit textured which i wasn't expecting. Again I was a bit disappointed with this colour.

Another colour I bought was 'Soul Mate' which is a lovely coral/salmon pink! Out of all the colours this one is my most favourite one I bought

The same as 'Mint Apple' this colour came out textured like the other one, which was a really big shock as I've heard so many people talking about how excited they were for these to come out in the UK! I probably won't be purchasing any more 'Sinful Colours' unless they bring out a new range!

And finally I bought a glitter colour called 'Queen Of Beauty' and i definitely ill be repurchasing this glitter! I found that the glitter was very glittery unlike some which are more like a clear coat with a few bits of glitter here and there. If you are looking for a nail polish that isn't very sparse then this one is perfect!

Out of all the collection I did buy, I was most impressed with this one as I expected it to be a bit naff like the other colours I had bought but this one was just how it looks in the bottle and I was very impressed!

Swatches below:

All: £1.99 Each

MUA - To Buy Or Not To Buy?

Hello Lovelies!

So to start off my blog I thought that I would do a review on the MUA (Make Up Academy)  products that I have recently purchased. I know there has been a lot of hype about their astonishingly cheap products that I just had to give them a go!
The products that I own by them include:

MUA Lipstick, Cover And Conceal Concealer, Nail Polish and
Eye Shadow Palette.

After trialing these products for a fair few months now I think I have a very good knowledge on the quality of the brand and what they have to offer.

So lets get started!

  • MUA Nail Polish
Drawn in by the cheap prices and pretty colours are what first drew me to the MUA section at superdrug; I was initially going to buy Essie - Mint Candy Apple but found the exact duplicate for a minute section of the price! At just £1 I thought I would give these nail varnishes ago, so I picked up the shades Pistachio Ice-Cream, Lush Lilac and Natural Days.

Left to right - Lush Lilac, Natural Days, Pistachio Ice Cream.

The first time that I tried these nail polish's I was astonished at the price, and colours that MUA had to offer! As far as a good nail polish goes I would give these a 5/10 as after about 2 days they seem to chip away (if you dont apply a top coat) and the colour doesn't go on as thick as an Essie nail polish would therefore the quality of this product is not that great! But if you're just looking for a quick drying, pretty nail polish than these are definitely for you! I will definitely be buying more of these in the near future!

  • MUA Lipstick
After seeing lots of people putting on instagram that these Lipsticks were fab i thought that I had to have one and see what they were like! After trying out the nail varnish and seeing that their lipstick collection was yet again only £1 i had to give it ago! I picked up the shade 4 which is a lovely bright pink colour.

The positives to this product is that the packaging looks really expensive and nice which is a massive plus in my opinion, and it also comes with a small little pot at the bottom with an extra bit of lipstick in, not only is this super cute it also comes in handy so you don't have to read the names of labels on your lipsticks you can just pick it up by the colour on the end.
However, the quality of this product is not as good as I expected to be although for £1 it was worth the try! I thought that this product on, felt of a mixture between a lip balm or a gloss and not like a lipstick at all! So if you're thinking of buying this product although it looks nice, the quality is not as expected!

  • MUA Concealer - Cover And Conceal
Out of all the MUA products that i have purcharsed their concealer is definietly my favourite! At just £1.50 this concealer was one of the cheapest at superdrug, so i thought that I would give it a try! I picked up the shade Almond which is the darkest shade that they do.

Cover And Conceal - Almond

This concealer definietly does what it says its going to do! I use this product under my eyes and over any blemishes and this covers them completely! It also feels very light weight and soft on my skin unlike some concealers which make my skin feel sticky and orange. The only thing that could be better about this product is the lack of colours. This concealer only comes in 3 shades: fair, natural and almond. I usually go for not the palest colour but not too dark and i found that the darkest shade that the concealer offered was the perfect shade for me which I found highly unusual. If you are looking for a cheap concealer to a brand like rimmel then this concealer is perfect!

  • MUA - Eye Shadow Palette
If you go on instagram then you will know that this MUA palette is the popular alternative to the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I thought I would try this out as I have been reeaaaaaaaally wanting the Urban Decay Palette and this was the cheapest alternative, at just £4 I thought I would give it a go!

Eye Shadow Palette - Undress Me Too

I haven't actually used this palette properly on my face yet as i've been trialing it out to see the quality of the product and so far i am really happy with it! Although the colours aren't very pigmented the eye shadow is perfect for a natural every day look and if you are looking for a cheaper version (while you save up) for the naked palette then this is perfect!

PRICES:
MUA Lipstick - £1.00
MUA Nail Polish - £1.00 (each)
MUA Cover And Conceal Concealer - £1.50
MUA Undress Me Too Eye Shadow Palette - £4.00

I hope you enjoyed my first blog post and you found it useful!
Bye for now lovelies!
